Cataract and Laser Institute in Medford, Oregon is home to three highly skilled ophthalmologists - Loren Barrus, MD, Paul Schultz, MD and Tina Rutar, MD. Ophthalmologists are medical doctors who are specially trained and skilled in providing total eye care such as performing comprehensive vision exams, diagnosing eye diseases and disorders, and performing medical and surgical procedures.
Dr. Barrus, Dr. Schultz and and Dr. Rutar have combined their expertise, dedication, and enthusiasm to build a medical practice that centers around total eye health. Our physicians each have a minimum of four years of specialized medical and surgical training beyond their M.D. degree, with special interests in cataract, glaucoma, pediatric and oculoplastic surgery. All three physicians are certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and have undergone rigorous training and education in their areas of specialization.
